The Nutrition/Dietetics option at Auburn University is designed to prepare students for careers as Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs). The program emphasizes the role of food and nutrition in health promotion and disease prevention. Graduates are qualified to apply for post-baccalaureate supervised practice programs, which are required for eligibility to take the National Registration Examination for Dietitians.

Designed to provide a strong foundation for advanced study.Professional Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) (Years 3–4): Advanced coursework in medical nutrition therapy, nutrition education and counseling, foodservice systems management, and public health nutrition. Meets the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) standards.
