Description

UIC’s Entry-level Occupational Therapy Doctorate program is designed for individuals holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree in any field who aspire to become occupational therapists. The curriculum emphasizes the integration of practice, theory, and research through the Scholarship of Practice (SOP) model. Students engage in innovative teaching methods, including problem-based learning, flipped classrooms, simulations with standardized patients, and social learning models. The program prepares students to become culturally responsive practitioners capable of serving diverse populations across various settings.

Course Curriculum

The program comprises 38 required courses, totaling 110 credits at the 600 level.
