As the only accredited acupuncture program in the state of Pennsylvania, our Acupuncture Masters Degree program educates future leading acupuncturists for a growing industry in integrative medicine. Since the program’s inception in 2005, our Master of Acupuncture Studies program has been one of the most successful programs at Won Institute of Graduate Studies. Students enrolled in our accredited three-year program gain a comprehensive understanding of Chinese medical theory and the historic and modern uses of acupuncture. Rigorous, comprehensive academic instruction and early clinical exposure are hallmarks of our program. We pride ourselves on our diverse faculty, many of whom have been trained throughout the world.
The Master of Acupuncture Studies Program is broken down into three years of study. Each year has three terms, and you’ll have anywhere from four to seven classes per term. Courses include acupuncture medical theory, diagnosis and treatment techniques, western biomedical sciences, clinical training, ethics & practice management, Chinese medical language, research, and meditation courses as well as an elective requirement.
