Description

GCU's MS in Nutrition and Dietetics program is designed to prepare students to become leaders in the fields of food, nutrition, and dietetics. The program emphasizes evidence-based practices and ethical standards to address complex challenges in nutritional science, public health, and clinical practice. It combines online coursework with in-person experiential learning to provide a comprehensive educational experience.

Course Curriculum

The MS in Nutrition and Dietetics program at GCU includes:​ Core Coursework: Advanced nutrition science, medical nutrition therapy, public health nutrition, foodservice systems management, and research methods.​ Capstone Course: NSC 695: Capstone in Nutrition and Dietetics, requiring students to apply evidence-based practice through hands-on experiential learning. Students must complete 250 hours of in-person experiential learning at their capstone site. ​ GCU News +2 AWS Files +2 Grand Canyon University +2 Experiential Learning: A total of 1,000 hours of supervised experiential learning integrated throughout the program.
