The Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) Program at the University of South Alabama is designed to prepare students for entry-level practice in various settings. The program comprises 114 semester hours, including: Year 1: Courses on occupational context, development, foundations, neuromuscular assessment, applied neuroscience, and professional development Year 2: Adult and pediatric occupational therapy, psychosocial evaluation, scientific inquiry, and research design Year 3: Advanced practice, administration, program development, and capstone project Fieldwork: 24 weeks of Level II Fieldwork Capstone Experience: 14-week doctoral capstone project
